DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
The department of Civil Engineering offers Undergraduate programme in B.E. Civil Engineering and Post graduate programme in M.E. structural Engineering.
The Department has a very able and skilled team of faculty members.The aim is to educate,train and develop highly skilled Civil Engineers at all levels capable of designing, constructing and maintaining environmental – friendly infrastructures. B.E Civil Engineering was established in 2012 and introduced M.E. structural Engineering in 2013 and faculty, infrastructural facilities and overall outlook to the current status as one of the strongest divisions in the Civil engineering Department and in the College
The Civil Engineering laboratories are well equipped with latest instruments and machinery and cater to the Undergraduate and Post graduate students from Civil and Mechanical Engineering. The class room facilities are renowned for the academic and excellence.

PO1 Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2 Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of Mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
PO3 Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
PO4 Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.

infrastructure facilities
The infrastructure facilities developed for civil engineering department manifest the organisations interest towards raising quality civil engineers for the society.
The department hosts, a department library, eight laboratories, five ICT enabled class rooms, two staff rooms, a HOD cabin and a students waiting hall with necessary amenities.
WATER AND WASTE WATER ANALYSIS LABORATORY
The laboratory has equipments and instruments to familiarise students about water and waste water sample collection and preservation methods. Drinking water characteristics can be analysed and methods to improve the quality of water were conducted and studied in this laboratory. Equipments to study the characteristics of waste water like BOD, COD, Ammonia Nitrogen analysis, were available.

SURVEYING AND LEVELLING LABORATORY
The laboratory has equipments like dummy level, theodolite, prismatic compes, handheld GPS, Tacheometry and Total station were students master the ability to carry out necessary surveys for social infrastructures and prepare planimetric maps

NUMERICAL AND FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS LABORATORY
Computer systems with Finite Element software’s like ANSYS, ABAQUS, MATLAB, ETABS, STAAD, STRAP is utilized to study the dynamic analysis of frame, thick and thin plate and analysis design and detail structures.

Our department has an extensive collection of books, reference materials for satisfying the academic and research needs of the students and faculty.
